Travel information

Arrival by plane

Dubrovnik has good flight connections with the third busiest airport in Croatia (after Zagreb and Split). Dubrovnik Airport is located 20 kilometres from Dubrovnik. The ride from the airport to the city can take from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the traffic.

There is an official shuttle bus connection (Platanus) between the airport and the city. The shuttle departs about 30 minutes after every regular flight from the airport and about 1.5 hours before domestic and 2 hours before international flights from the city. The shuttle travels from the airport to the Dubrovnik Bus Station, with one stop in the city along the way. The price of the return ticket is 15 EUR and can be bought at the airport, the Dubrovnik bus station, and online.

There are three public bus lines from the airport to the city: numbers 11, 27, and 38. These are suburban lines, and they do not operate as often as the shuttle bus. The common bus stop for these lines is Pile Gate, near the city walls and a 10-minute walk from the University.

You can travel from and to the airport with taxi services. Taxis are located in front of the passenger terminal at  building B (arrivals). Taxi services are available during airport working hours. A price list for taxi services is available at the taxi information window in the passenger terminal at building B (arrivals) or at +385 (20) 640 100. The drivers are obliged by law to issue a receipt for services rendered.
