Grants for early career researchers

The organisation of INDRUM2026 is happy to announce that we are able to offer 4 (four) grants to participants from non-affluent countries and early-career researchers. The grants have been secured by the kindly sponsporship of Mireo. 

These grants cover:

• Registration fees.
• Accommodation on campus, in a 2-person shared room.

Applicants need to meet the following criteria:

• Be an early career researcher and/or member (faculty, research student) of a university from low-income countries according to the OECD DAC list https://www.oecd.org/content/dam/oecd/en/topics/policy-sub-issues/oda-eligibility-and-conditions/DAC-List-of-ODA-Recipients-for-reporting-2024-25-flows.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com
• Be the presenting author of a paper or poster submission accepted for presentation during the conference.
• Prepare a brief statement (maximum, one page single spaced) outlining the reasons that the support is needed.
• For research students (PhD), a letter from the supervisor confirming the lack of financial support for students from the home institution.

Applicants must submit their contribution (paper or poster proposal), their statement (and the supervisor’s statement for students) to the conference local organising chairs, Matija Bašić, mbasic@math.hr and Željka Milin Šipuš, milin@math.hr, before 31^st March 2026. 

Results will be announced by 13^th April 2026. 

Please, note that: 

• These are valuable, highly sought opportunities for financial support
• We kindly request that grant holders make travel and visa arrangements as early as possible and that they alert the organisers as early as possible if circumstances emerge that do not allow them to participate in the conference. Grant holders are requested to confirm by 24^th April 2026 their participation in the conference.
• With regret, if a grant is awarded but not taken (and the organisers are not alerted at least a month before the conference), then the applicant will not be able to apply for an INDRUM grant for the next conference.
